Sun, sea, sand…
Phuket is a beautiful island, rich in greenery, pristine beaches and everything you may expect from a full‑fledged beach destination. The surrounding islands are true tropical gems, with azure seas, white‑sand beaches and a gentle, small‑scale atmosphere.
Culture: Phuket’s cultural heritage is a blend of Portuguese, Thai and Chinese influences, most clearly visible in Old Town Phuket, where colourful colonial buildings line the streets.
Nature: Phuket and its neighbouring islands offer extraordinary natural beauty — from untouched rainforests and impressive waterfalls in Khao Phra National Park to the dramatic limestone formations of Phang Nga Bay and the vibrant marine life beneath the surface.
Adventure: Most adventures here unfold on the water: diving, snorkelling, kayaking, deep‑sea fishing or simply enjoying an unforgettable day at sea.
Hotels: The region offers a wide range of luxury accommodations, from larger resort brands to intimate boutique hotels with private villas and pools, such as Trisara Phuket. The nearby islands also feature exceptionally luxurious retreats in serene surroundings, including Six Senses Yao Noi.
Culinary: Phuket is home to outstanding restaurants. Alongside Thai and Asian cuisine, you will find excellent French, Italian and Japanese dining. For a true fine‑dining experience, PRU at Trisara — led by Dutch Michelin‑star chef Jimmy Ophorst — is highly recommended.
Nightlife: Phuket is known for its vibrant nightlife. Beach clubs and rooftop bars with spectacular views are well worth a visit.
The weather in Phuket and its surrounding region
Due to its tropical monsoon climate, Phuket and the surrounding islands are warm throughout the year, with daytime temperatures typically ranging between 30 and 34 degrees. At night, temperatures fall to around 23 degrees. The rainy season runs from May to October, bringing short but intense showers, usually in the late afternoon. The dry season — and the best time to travel — lasts from November to April.
