Paradise Bali

Bali, often referred to as the ‘Island of the Gods’, is one of the world’s most beloved holiday destinations — and for good reason. With its stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, exceptionally warm people and outstanding tourism facilities, Bali is a truly delightful island for a luxury escape.

Culture: With its many temples, traditional dances, artistic traditions and colourful festivals, Hinduism is deeply woven into daily Balinese life.

Nature: From lush jungles and pristine beaches to dramatic volcanoes and waterfalls, Bali’s landscapes are nothing short of breathtaking.

Adventure: Bali offers endless opportunities for adventure — cycle through emerald rice fields, climb Mount Batur at sunrise or go rafting on the Ayung River.

Hotels: The island boasts an extraordinary range of luxury hotels, both along the coast and inland, including some of the finest resorts in the world. Exceptional properties such as Raffles Bali, Bvlgari and Capella Ubud set new standards in refined hospitality.

Culinary: Bali has earned a strong reputation for its world‑class dining scene. Nearly every global cuisine is represented, and the island offers superb fine‑dining options.

Nightlife: For those who love to go out, Bali is a true paradise. Countless beach clubs, bars and nightspots — especially in Seminyak and Canggu — create a vibrant and stylish nightlife scene.

Which Beach Area in Bali?

The most well‑known beach destinations are concentrated in the south of Bali, and because the differences between them are significant, we have outlined the key characteristics below.

Tourism on Bali has grown considerably over the past decades, and choosing the right place to stay is essential. To help you decide, we highlight the defining features of each coastal area.

In general, you can keep the following in mind:
Active & Explorative — if you like to head out regularly during your beach stay (during the day and/or in the evening), Sanur, Nusa Dua and Jimbaran are the best bases to minimise travel times.

Tranquillity — if you are seeking peace and quiet by the sea, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Uluwatu are the most recommended.

In the Buzz — if you want to be close to Bali’s nightlife, Seminyak and Canggu offer endless possibilities.

The weather in Bali

Bali has a tropical rainforest climate with two distinct seasons: the dry season from May to October, with little rain and plenty of sunshine, and the rainy season from October to April, when daily showers — usually in the late afternoon — bring higher humidity. Most rainfall occurs between December and March. As the showers are typically short and intense, Bali remains a wonderful holiday destination throughout the entire year.

What our guests say

The Orange Lotus

We had an unforgettable journey through Java, Bali and Moyo Island. Joey impressed us with her wonderful proposals, each perfectly aligned with the wishes of our entire family. Throughout the trip she was always there for us — even securing a table at a restaurant that had been fully booked for months. Thank you, The Orange Lotus. We will certainly return.

The Orange Lotus

Thank you for an unforgettable journey through Thailand and for your flawless organisation. The excursions in Bangkok and Chiang Mai were truly unique experiences, and our hotel preferences were met perfectly. And the fact that you even surprised us by arranging our favourite wine on board during our private yacht excursion in Koh Samui says everything about your eye for detail and perfection. Wonderful in every way — we look forward to travelling with you again.
