This restaurant offers a harmonious blend of European and Asian gastronomy. Its elegant interior draws inspiration from the surrounding jungle and Bali’s rich heritage. The distinctive atmosphere is further enhanced by the restaurant’s tent, ingeniously divided across two levels — with the upper deck shown in this photograph.

The restaurant is named after the famous Danish spice trader and peacemaker of Bali, affectionately known as ‘The White King of Bali’.

For its European and Asian dishes, the restaurant makes use of the freshest ingredients, sourced wherever possible from its own garden or nearby farms. Fresh seafood is drawn from the surrounding regional waters. Mads Lange welcomes guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The name Api Jiwa is derived from Sanskrit, meaning ‘fire for the soul’. This open‑air restaurant offers an Asian culinary journey with omakase dishes. In the Japanese tradition of omakase, the chef is granted the freedom to surprise you with bold and authentic creations.

When you take a seat around the Chef’s Counter, you can watch the chefs at work. The atmosphere at Api Jiwa is relaxed.

This charming, atmospheric bar is set beside the 20‑metre Cistern pool. The menu features a wide selection of light snacks. The bar is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Campfire is the place to unwind beneath the star‑studded sky and savour quintessential campfire treats such as roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate. The atmosphere is informal, with local storytellers sharing fascinating tales around the fire. Guests may also enjoy silent black‑and‑white films depicting life in Bali during the 19th century.
