Sala Mae Nam restaurant commands breathtaking views across the surrounding valley and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests may delight in lavish buffets complemented by live cooking stations, presenting both regional and international cuisine.

Many of the dishes feature ingredients sourced from the Royal Project, established in 1969 by King Bhumibol Adulyadej to enhance the quality of life of the hill tribes in Northern Thailand and to eradicate opium cultivation. This successful initiative is dedicated to sustainable agriculture, forest restoration and water management.

This relaxed bar and terrace, overlooking the valley, offers a menu of international favourites – from crisp salads and sushi rolls to hearty sandwiches and burgers.

The bar’s name is a tribute to the many elephants in the region and its own sanctuary. “Opium Terrace” reflects the rich history of Chiang Rai, once a significant centre for the opium trade.

Canopy Treetop Dining offers a truly unique culinary experience in a suspended ‘dining capsule’ high above the ground. Elevated 52 metres, it affords breathtaking views across the jungle and the Golden Triangle. Inspired by traditional local beehives, the capsule’s design envelops guests in nature, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and wonder.

To reach Canopy Treetop Dining, guests are guided by an experienced resort host. The journey begins with a short walk through the lush jungle, followed by a specially designed pathway that leads to the dining capsule suspended 52 metres above the ground.

The menus are thoughtfully curated, offering a harmonious blend of local and international flavours. Dishes include Laotian riverweed paired with yellowfin tuna larb, and Chiang Rai’s spiced pork served on toasted rice bread.

Larb is a traditional dish from Laos and Northeastern Thailand, also known as Isaan. This spicy salad is typically prepared with minced meat – such as chicken, pork, beef or duck – combined with fresh herbs, lime, fish sauce, roasted rice powder and chillies.

This elevated dining experience is available for breakfast, lunch and at sunset. It is the perfect way to savour the natural beauty of the region while enjoying exquisite cuisine.
